DOG INJURED BY BALACLAVA MOTORBIKERS

We are appealing for witnesses after a dog and its owner were injured in a non-stop collision in Tamworth.

At around 10am yesterday (Tuesday 18 August), a woman was walking her dog on a footpath on Leyland Road, Glascote, when they were in collision with an off-road motorbike.

The rider and passenger left the scene.

They are described as white and wearing black balaclavas and black hoodies.

The motorbike was also black.

The woman sustained cuts and bruising during the incident, whilst her dog has been taken to a vet for treatment.

Chief Inspector Stuart Coleman said: “Our officers attended the incident, have spoken to the victim and are carrying out an investigation to track down the rider and passenger of the motorcycle.

“We’d like to speak to anyone who may have seen them in the area at the time and in particular, any motorists who captured the incident on a dashcam.

“Anything you’re able to provide could help our investigation.”
